Edwards Creative Products was founded in 1955 by Edward Cohen in the basement of his home in Cherry Hill, NJ. It started out as a general housewares product company selling through door to door and party plan. However, in 1956 Mr. Cohen created a product called the (BELT RING), which was a cut wire ring with a hook to hang in your closet. Two plastic tips, at the cut edges of the ring, allowed you to snap in belt buckles so that the ring could hold many belts and you could retrieve just the one you needed without disturbing the rest. The success and popularity of this product changed the company focus from a general housewares seller to that of a designer and creator of unique and innovative products. Throughout the years, and to this day, though living in Florida, Ed Cohen has created a wide range of products that have sold in leading mail order catalogs and in retail outlets throughout the USA and the world. Items from a wire bag rack (BAG CADDY) shaped like a large paper clip, to a portable hand operated mimeograph machine (PRESS’N PRINT) to a line of spot and stain removers today. We developed the first effervescent tablet for cleaning dentures (FABUDENT), and we are the originators of the solid stick spot and stain remover (KOLLAR KLEEN) over 30 years ago. Edward Cohen has had featured articles written about him in the Ft. Lauderdale “Sun Sentinel”, a leading health publication “Diabetes Forecast”, as well as an interview by the “Daily Show” on the Comedy Channel from cable TV. For the last 20 years the day to day operations of the company have been handled by Son, Chuck and in recent years aided by Chuck’s Son Matthew, a 3rd generation working at ECP. Today the focus is on the development of the fabric care cleaning products through retail, wholesale, mail order, and private labeling markets. You can find our spot and stain remover stick, under the (MAGIC WAND) and (BLEACH STICK) names selling at leading specialty outlets throughout the country, as well as specialized private labeling applications appearing in other market places. The turn of the century at Edwards Creative Products is an exciting challenge for all of us. We hope to develop new products and move into new markets, but will always maintain our standards of high quality products that, over the years, has brought us a large following of loyal customers.
